Asus released its two phones in October, the Zenfone Max M1 and the Zenfone Lite L1(Review). These two phones from Asus can be considered as competitors to the Redmi 6 and 6A due to the price point in the budget segment.
In this article, I am going to tell you what you need to know if you are thinking about buying the Zenfone Max M1.
The device is built out of plastic and feels sturdy to hold in hand. It has rounded corners and is light in weight. The build quality of the device is good. It features a 5.5-inch 1440x720p resolution 18:9 ratio display with rounded corners. The display is bright and displays vibrant colours.
The Zenfone Max M1 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Processor which is a pretty ageing processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM it is able to give a decent performance. It runs smoothly with no lags. The new Zen UI is clean and delivers a good experience of the interface. For gaming the performance is average.
The fingerprint sensor located at the back of the device works well but when the device is kept ideal for some time it does not respond quickly which is an issue that can be resolved with a FOTA update that Asus releases frequently.
The device features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera has an F2.0 aperture which takes vibrant shorts in broad daylight but struggles in low lighting conditions. The front camera takes decent selfies and the also has front flash which works really well when it comes to taking selfies in low light.
The camera interface is easy to use and looks good, unlike the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
In the battery department, the Asus Zenfone M1 won’t disappoint you with its huge 4000mah battery.
This smartphone comes equipped with two SIM slots that support 4G VoLTE. It also has a dedicated slot for a microSD card.
Asus ZenFone Max M1 ( 3 GB RAM,32 GB ROM) is priced at ₹7,499 on Flipkart.
